HerStory Untold
When Vinti began experiencing brain fog, fatigue, and unexpected weight changes, she didn’t have the words to explain what was happening, even to herself. In this HerStory Untold: Midlife@Work feature, the EAP and mental wellness professional shares how she quietly rebuilt her routines to stay functional, what finally helped her connect the dots, and why workplaces need to offer practical, stigma-free support for women navigating midlife transitions.

Events
Midlife rarely arrives with a single, dramatic moment. More often, it comes quietly — a body that feels unfamiliar, a mind that feels busier, sleep that no longer “resets” you the way it used to. For some, it is the growing weight of caregiving responsibilities. For others, it is a question that lingers after a routine check-up: Is this normal? And in workplaces that still reward silence and stamina, many learn to cope by simply pushing through.

Physical Health · Nutrition
Midlife can feel like your body rewrites the rules — weight shifts faster, energy dips more often, and health numbers start creeping up. The good news is that many changes are connected and manageable. By focusing on the “metabolism trio” — waist and weight patterns, blood sugar, and heart health — he/she can spot early warning signs and take small, repeatable steps that add up. Think steady meals, regular movement, and routine screenings, not extreme fixes.

This article is a practical guide for managers, HR, and teams—what to do this week, what to build over a quarter, and what “support” actually looks like in a Singapore workplace.

Physical Health
Some men hit midlife and feel “off” — less energy, poorer sleep, a shorter fuse, or a noticeable drop in sex drive. On social media, that bundle of changes is often labelled “male menopause”. The experience can be real, but the phrase is not precise. Doctors more commonly talk about andropause, or late-onset hypogonadism, to describe symptoms that may be linked to age-related testosterone decline in some men.
